The West Coast National Park is located 100 km north of Cape Town below Saldanha Bay. The nature park covers 38,000 hectares part overlooking Langebaan Lagoon. Bordering 30 km of the Atlantic and a short piece of land seperating the Atlantic and the Lagoon the views are Awesome. The park is well known for its bird life and for the spring flowers which occur in great abundance. For two months each year August and September the Postberg flower reserve section of the West Coast National Park is open to the public.
We will take a lovely Drive up the West Coast before entering the National Park and exploring the magnificent Flower displays and Wild animals which roam free. Enjoy a short walk along a Cliff Top or beach , Lunching in the Park and viewing magnificent Birdlife including Flamingos before returning to Cape Town. This day can also be tailor made to include a visit to the West Coast Fossil Park which is a World Heritage site with fossils dating back over 5.2 million years.
