Enjoy the Cosmopolitan City of Cape Town first mentioned by Bartholomeu Dias in 1488. In 1652 Jan van Riebeeck and the Dutch East India Company arrived in the Cape to Establish a Halfway Station to provide Fresh Water , Meat and Vegetables for the passing ships.
We will take a walk through Company Gardens passing our Houses of Parliament Cape Town being the Legislative Capital. Next door De Tuynhuys is the Cape Town office of the Presidency. There are several wonderful Museums and Art Galleries around Company Gardens some of which we can visit including St Georges Cathedral , passing several hidden gems such as part of the Berlin Wall on our way to Greenmarket Square , Adderley Street Flower Market , City Hall and the Castle of Good Hope.
From here we shall pass the Square that Nelson Mandela addressed the masses after his release on our way to the Bo-Kaap with its Multicoloured Houses.
This Day can include the Firing of the Noon Day Gun the oldest Tradition in Cape Town , Views from Lions Head , taking a Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain or enjoying some wine tasting on the oldest Wine Route in the Country.
