A proposed Itinerary can include the following :
Collection and Transfer to Robben Island Ferry Terminal for the short Ferry Trip to Robben Island for a Tour of the Island passing the Quarries prisoners worked . Part of this Tour is conducted by an ex inmate from the Island viewing the Cell that Nelson Mandela occupied. This is a minimum 3.5 Hour tour returning to the Ferry Terminal at the V&A Waterfront.
From here after Lunch we shall proceed to Table Mountain for a Cable Car trip to the top and a walking Tour on top of Table Mountain. Depending on time we shall either have a Drive around City Centre Orientation or a Walking Tour taking in Companys Gardens , St Georges Cathedral , Greenmarket Square , Adderley Street , City Hall , Castle of Good Hope , Long Street and the Bo-Kaap.
Enjoy a Visit to the Island on which Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his 27 year imprisonment. A short Ferry trip before touring the Island and Cells conducted by ex-inmates before returning to the Ferry terminal at the V&A Waterfront. After Lunch head towards Table Mountain for a Cable Car ride to the top and a walking Tour on top.
Heading down to the City viewing the Bo-Kaap with its very colourful houses and time permitting a drive around the City Centre.
I normally Advise the First 09h00 Ferry as it often runs more to schedule than later Ferries although the Day can be made to fit whichever Ferry is available. These Ferries often become Fully Booked well in advance especially in December and January so best booked Well in advance.
